Hollendorfer duo will run in Golden Gate Debutante

The Jerry Hollendorfer-trained duo of Lutine Belle and Seduire will run in Saturday’s $50,000-added Golden Gate Debutante for 2-year-old fillies at six furlongs at Golden Gate Fields.
Lutine Belle nipped Can Can Babe, who is listed as possible for the Debutante, in her last start. Seduire won the Wine Country Debutante at Santa Rosa, beating Can Can Babe and Wedding Blush, who is listed as probable for Saturday’s race after running second in the Pike Place Dancer.
Cruisingtheharbor and Indian Rocket are other possibilities.
Billy Morey nominated three runners, including Niassa, the good-looking winner of a strong optional-claiming race here Nov. 15. He plans to pass the Debutante and said Niassa is being pointed to a $200,000 California-bred one-mile race at Los Alamitos.
◗ Leslie Mawing, who has returned to Golden Gate Fields after winning this summer’s Emerald Downs jockey title, is one of five finalists for the 2015 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award at Santa Anita. James Graham, Mike Luzzi, Corey Nakatani, and Rosie Napravnik are the other finalists.
◗ The annual Grooms Christmas Party, sponsored by the Race Track Chaplaincy of America and the California Thoroughbred Trainers, will be held Thursday, Dec. 11. Fans can donate gifts at specially marked locations around the track or send a check with a tax-deductible donation to the Race Track Chaplaincy of America, in care of Golden Gate Fields.
