Hold for More too good in MTA Stallion Auction Laddie

Bob Nastanovich|Jul 20, 2015

The heavily favored Hold for More cruised to victory at Canterbury Park in Sunday's $55,000 MTA Stallion Auction Laddie, a 6 1/2-furlong race restricted to 3-year-olds by sires whose seasons were offered in the 2010 MTA stallion season auction.

After brushing aside pacesetting Hi Five Cy, Hold for More and jockey Dean Butler bounded clear for a 7 1/4-length tally over Plenty of Sun. Hold for More paid $2.10.

Trained by Francisco Bravo, Hold for More, a Minnesota-bred Hold Me Back gelding, has now won 5 of his 6 starts. He covered the distance in 1:19.24 and earned $33,000 for owner Dale Schenian.
