SHAKOPEE, Minn. – The heavily favored Hold for More ($2.60) dominated his three 3-year-old Minnesota-bred rivals in Saturday's $60,000 Victor S. Myers Stakes.

Confidently handled by the meet's leading rider, Dean Butler, Hold for More, a Francisco Bravo trainee, pulled away from the rallying Keith's Legacy for a 6 1/2-length score.

Contested over six furlongs, the Victor S. Myers was run in 1:11.79. Hold for More, now 4 for 5 in his career, collected $36,000 for owner Dale Schenian.

Silver Magna wins Genter

Silver Magna ($15.20) pulled an upset when sweeping past the speedy 3-10 favorite, Shaboom, for a 2 1/2-length win in Saturday's $60,000 Frances Genter Stakes, a six-furlong race for Minnesota-bred 3-year-old fillies.

Trained by Mike Biehler for owners and breeders Al and Bill Ulwelling, Silver Magna tallied her first stakes win under jockey Denny Velazquez.

Shaboom stayed on to finish second in her stakes debut, 6 1/4 lengths in front of Sioux Appeal, the 2014 Northern Lights Debutante winner.

Silver Magna earned $36,000, and the Magna Graduate filly covered six furlongs in 1:11.36.
