Hoh Buzzard retired to Kentucky

Hoh Buzzard, a three-time stakes winner in England and the United States, has been retired, trainer Ben Cecil said.

Hoh Buzzard finished third in the Grade 2 Santa Barbara Handicap at Santa Anita on April 17 in her final start. She showed filling in a tendon after a workout in early May and was recently sold privately by owner Gary Tanaka. Cecil said Hoh Buzzard has been shipped to Kentucky to be bred.

, 5, won 6 of 18 starts and $319,839. In 2003, she won the Upavon Stakes in England and the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere Stakes at Churchill Downs. Earlier this year, she won the Brown Bess Handicap at Golden Gate Fields.
