Hobbs America Futurity ends in dead heat

There was a dead heat in one of the richest Quarter Horse races of the meet at Zia Park on Sunday, when Game Changes and Miss Feet Down First hit the wire together in the Grade 2, $297,831 Hobbs America Futurity. They finished a neck in front of third-place finisher Burns Folly.
Game Changes paid $3.40 and Miss Feet Down First returned $8. The pair covered 400 yards on a track rated fast in 19.91 seconds. Each horse earned $95,307.
Also on the card, Apollitical Sign was a three-quarter-length winner over Takiana Romanova B in the Grade 3, $80,000 Hobbs America Quarter Horse Derby. Apollitical Sign covered 440 yards in 21.88 seconds and returned $61.40.
