Trainer Brad Cox said that Dubai World Cup winner Hit Show and the 3-year-old Flood Zone, seventh in the U.A.E. Derby, could get back onto the work tab soon as they prepare for the remainder of their 2025 campaigns. Cox said he was initially planning to give both horses a bit of a break, but from what he’s seen in their training neither one wants one. “They’re not back on the work tab, but they certainly act like they’re ready to return to it,” said Cox, who has not yet given serious thought to where either would run next. Hit Show, prior to the Dubai World Cup win, won the Grade 3 Louisiana Stakes at Fair Grounds in January and was third in the Santa Anita Handicap in March. “He’s screaming to get back,” Cox said. “It’s cool to see a horse go over there and bring them back and show so much energy.” Prior to the U.A.E. Derby, Flood Zone won the Grade 3 Gotham Stakes, in his first start for Cox and Wathnan Racing. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
