DRF Staff|Sep 10, 2001

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Grade 2 winner Vision and Verse will enter stud in 2002 at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farm near Lexington, Ky., the farm announced Monday.

Vision and Verse, a 5-year-old son of Storm Cat, will stand for $7,500. Winner of the Grade 2 Illinois Derby in 1999, Vision and Verse has a record of 21-4-3-5 and total earnings of $1,030,330. Though his Illinois Derby score is his only stakes victory, he also is Grade 1-placed, having finished second behind 2000 champion Lemon Drop Kid in both the Belmont and Travers Stakes in 1999. Trained by Bill Mott, Vision and Verse last ran in the Gulfstream Park Handicap in March.
