Belmont Park
Highway Star could run next in Ogden Phipps

Barbara D. Livingston Highway Star (right) is likely headed to the Ogden Phipps on June 10.
Highway Star, the New York-bred filly who won her third graded stakes of her career in Saturday’s Grade 2 Ruffian Stakes at Belmont, could make her next start in the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps at Belmont on June 10.
Highway Star is also eligible for the $200,000 Critical Eye Stakes for New York-breds on May 29, but that would mean running back in 16 days and it’s a race that wouldn’t do much for her potential value as a broodmare.
Highway Star is 4 for 4 at Belmont Park, all in one-turn races from seven furlongs to a mile. The Phipps is run around one turn at 1 1/16 miles.
