High Chaparral's fee to be $40K

High Chaparral, winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf in 2002 and again in a dead heat with Johar in 2003, will stand at Coolmore Stud's Irish headquarters in 2004. He will stand for a fee of 35,000 euros, or about $40,250.

High Chaparral's sire, Coolmore flagship stallion and perennial leading sire Sadler's Wells, will have a private fee. Other fees for Coolmore's Irish division, announced Friday, included Fasliyev at $86,250; Rock of Gibraltar at $74,750; Danehill Dancer at $51,750; Galileo at $46,000; Golan at $17,250; Grand Lodge at $57,500; Hawk Wing at $28,750; Montjeu and Peintre Celebre at $34,500; Spinning World at $20,125; and Statue of Liberty at $13,800.
