He’s So Chic to stand at Flying P Ranch in Alabama

Multiple stakes-placed He’s So Chic has been retired from racing and will stand the 2014 breeding season at Flying P Ranch in Hope Hull, Ala. for an advertised fee of $2,000.

The 10-year-old son of Jump Start finishes his on-track career with 15 wins in 51 starts for earnings of $615,358 racing in the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida. He finished in the money in five stakes races at Monmouth Park, Aqueduct, and Tampa Bay Downs, and he set a track record at the Meadowlands, covering six furlongs in 1:07.61.

Bred in Kentucky by Paragon Farms, He’s So Chic is out of the unraced Private Terms mare So Chic, who is the dam of three winners from as many foals to race. He is from the family of Grade 2 winners Living Vicariously and Sightseeing, as well as Grade 3 winners Serious Spender and With Distinction.

He’s So Chic was claimed in his final start on Sept. 11 at Belmont Park by trainer David Jacobson for owner Drawing Away Stable.

"He presents an unprecedented opportunity for breeders in Alabama and surrounding states to tap into to New York stakes-quality speed, exceptional durability and a pedigree that's dripping with the finest black-type."

The deal was brokered by New Jersey-based bloodstock agent Michael Slezak.
