Hes Judgeandjury won his division’s most prestigious race Monday, when he edged favorite Sicario V by a neck in the Grade 1, $3 million All American Futurity at Ruidoso Downs. It was another neck back in third to Chasing Aj, who like Hes Judgeandjury is trained by Heath Taylor. The All American closed out the Ruidoso meet. The 440-yard classic for Quarter Horses is the richest offering of the season at Ruidoso. Hes Judgeandjury ($17.80) bumped at the start with Kj Leader Ofthe Pack, recovered quickly, and continued on to cover the distance on a fast track in 21.19 seconds. James A. Flores rode the winner, an Oklahoma-bred gelding by Hes Relentless who races for his breeders, Jeff Jones and Steve Holt. Jes an Angel, the overall fastest qualifier for the All American who won her trial over Sicaro V, was scratched by the stewards Monday. Her owner and trainer, Lance Moore, said he was informed it was for use of a nebulizer. Daily Racing Form made multiple attempts to reach the stewards and also attempted to reach other officials at Ruidoso. Moore said Jes an Angel will make her next start in trials for the Dash for Cash Futurity on Sept. 16 at Lone Star Park. Jes and Angel set the fastest qualifying time for the All American on Day 1 of trials, on the same card as Hes Judgeandjury. She was supplemented to the trials for $50,000. The trials drew 305 entrants. Doing Something Good was the fastest qualifier on Day 2 of trials, and he finished fourth in the All American finale on Monday. :: DRF Bets members get FREE DRF Past Performances - Formulator or Classic.
