Beaten a mile in a Louisiana-bred N2X, but the winner was standout open stakes dropper Believe in Bertie. This filly’s claim to fame last Fair Grounds meet was getting left at the start and coming from a mile back to finish second in a turf route, and so it was very encouraging seeing tactical speed today.
