Second time on this list during the meet for this Louisiana-bred mare. She had compromising trouble when last seen in January, and nearly hit the ground when clipping heels in tight quarters around the half-mile pole here. Steadied back to last again about a furlong later, and had a decent upper-stretch run before flattening out.

Has little positional speed and was taken back to last early in this $25K turf-route claimer – and that didn’t work out at all. Race shape was very slow early and middle, very fast late – winner came home in less than 23 seconds for final quarter-mile. How is a mid-level claimer going to make ground into that? Will fare better with more favorable setup next time.
