This is a turf horse, and was impressed she rallied as well as she did to finish a close third in an off-turf, short-stretch mile. Seems poised to clear this Louisiana-bred allowance condition back on grass.

Lightly raced 4-year-old is now 2 for 2 after winning long-layoff comeback. He had to work a bit to run down Wainscott, but that horse has talent and had shaken loose on lead. Best part of winner’s race was last furlong, and when rider threw reins at him past the wire, and he galloped out with gusto, one had to think he could improve stretching to two turns next time.

Uncle Mo first-timer in dirt route broke from post 10 and was caught five- and four-wide on first turn, three-wide second turn. Still made a decent little move at quarter-pole, and then was gaining very late on the top two in final yards, galloping out in front in a very encouraging debut effort.
