Here’s to Rose makes local debut in Diana
ThistleDown heads into the final month of its 2014 season with the $50,000 Diana on Saturday for Ohio-bred fillies and mares. A field of nine was entered for the first running of the six-furlong race.

Here’s to Rose (Last 3 Beyers: 65-69-35)
◗ She won last time out against some of these rivals in a statebred allowance at Belterra Park. Trained by Doug Cowans, she has won 4 of 6 starts this year but has yet to run locally.
DRF FORMULATOR FACT: Over the past two years, Cowans has a 39 percent strike rate with starters making their second start off a layoff.

Blazing Bling (Last 3 Beyers: 62-67-68)
◗ One of two Tim Hamm-trained entrants, she finished fourth, beaten 1 1/4 lengths, in the Scarlet and Gray locally Sept. 21. She has won 6 of 14 starts at ThistleDown.
Sky Crew (Last 3 Beyers: 61-84-40)
◗ She won her maiden two starts ago at Saratoga, earning a Beyer Speed Figure of 84, the highest lifetime figure in the race. In her last race, she finished fifth, beaten 1 1/2 lengths, in the Scarlet and Gray.
◗ She will run for trainer Tony Rini for the first time. Over the past two years, Rini has a 34 percent strike rate with starters making their first start for him.
◗ She will be ridden by Scott Spieth, and that trainer/jockey combo has won at a 56 percent clip over the past two years.
Crafty Blue Kat (Last 3 Beyers: 52-65- 54)
◗ She won the Scarlet and Gray two starts ago for trainer Sandra Adkins.
◗ She has four wins in 11 local starts and has missed hitting the board in only one of those starts.
