The Hell We Did, runner-up in the Grade 3 Lexington who in his last start was seventh in the Preakness, is scheduled to work Friday at Lone Star Park, according to his trainer, Todd Fincher.
The Hell We Did had his first work out of the Preakness on June 4, going a half-mile in 49 seconds.
“We worked him the other day and are planning to work him on Friday, just getting back on schedule,” Fincher said. “He’s good. We’re getting him ready to go, then we’ll look [for a race].”
The Hell We Did is a half-brother to $12 million earner Senor Buscador. He races for his breeder, Peacock Family Racing Stable.
Charlene’s Dream honored
Charlene’s Dream, who won last year’s Grade 2 Beverly D. at Colonial Downs, was named the 2025 Texas-bred of the year during the Texas Thoroughbred Association’s annual banquet last weekend at Lone Star. She also won the Grade 3 Gallorette last year at Pimlico.
Charlene’s Dream was bred by Eric and Randi Moreau-Sipiere, who were the 2025 breeders of the year in Texas. Charlene’s Dream races for Taylor Domeyko and Steve Moger and is trained by Ed Moger Jr.
At the same banquet, Bill Tracy won the T.I. “Pops” Harkins Award for lifetime achievement and Foster Bridewell was honored with the Allen Bogan Memorial Award as TTA member of the year.
