Race 7 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool
Best Bet: FOX VALLEY SPARTY (7th)
Spot Play: DECENT SAWYER (3rd)
Race 1
(2) MUSCLE IMAGE two-year-old has flashed good ability when he stays trotting. (1) PHOTO PHRED came up empty last week but was sharp prior. (3) LET'S GO COLOR raced tremendous last out with a flat tire on the race bike.
Race 2
(10) SHARK REALITY picks up a big driver change against weaker. (5) STRONG PLAYIN KING just missed from a tough spot last start against similar; threat. (4) EMMIA ROCKET was super last race swooping the field from the back.
Race 3
In a field with few contenders, (3) DECENT SAWYER had no shot off a pedestrian three-quarters of a mile last start. The 2-year-old will be used aggressively this week. (2) KID ROCKY faces much weaker this time out with another excellent starting post. (4) COMMONDISCOURTESY has paced some fast miles but has question marks coming off a scratch.
Race 4
(3) FRONTIER FRED might be a step faster than most of the field with a smooth trip. (7) DADDY LET ME DRIVE has yet to hit the board in ten career starts but has room to improve against a suspect bunch. (1) GIO SAGE could save some ground before shaking loose for a piece late; use underneath.
Race 5
(8) RED RED REDNECK has really stepped his game up in the last month. (2) IMPRESSIVE ART three-year-old might be the only threat to the top choice but will need a decent drive by a low percentage pilot. (1) BOWEDFORTYOVA has just been racing evenly but faces much weaker and should be in an excellent spot early.
Race 6
(8) ARTEMESIA beat a really nice field three back at Springfield; short price. (9) WINDIAN filly could be a sneaky price play off a really nice effort. (5) MY MONA ME picks up a big driver change. The pacer will need to show improvement to threaten for the win.
Race 7
(2) FOX VALLEY SPARTY raced huge last week against a much tougher bunch. (9) IN YOUR EYE lightly raced 2-year-old also raced well last week despite the early miscue. (8) FOX VALLEY HOSS might be able to hit the ticket at a big price with a good setup.
Race 8
(8) DEE TUMBLEWEED has been coming on very strong in her last three. (1) CHANGEFORTHEBETTOR two-year-old filly gets a big post edge on her main rivals and has lots of room to improve. (9) GIFTFROMTHEHEART filly shows two breaks in three races but was flying late the start she stayed pacing.
Race 9
(1) PRETTY PLACE mare was sharp in her recent win fending off all challengers. The pacing mare owns some back class on most of the field when right. (4) MAKE WAY just missed last week from a tough spot against this same bunch. (2) CARMEN O has been facing tougher and owns wins at this level on the year.
Race 10
In a weak and inconsistent field, (7) OUTLAWPOCKETROCKET showed a nice burst of speed two back and will offer a big price. (4) HOLY MCMOSES rarely wins but has been competitive against tougher on the year. (9) FOUR STARZ LOUIE gets sent out for a hot barn but has just been racing evenly; command a price.
