Race 1 – Two Year Olds
(3) ZONE SIX is a nice-looking freshman colt that dominated in the qualifier and will likely offer the best price of the contenders. (6) FOX VALLEY QUEST probably has lots more in the tank this week; short price. (1) SWAN OF DREAMS owns a nice pedigree and has been solid in both recent qualifiers. (8) ON HIGHER GROUND has been no match for the likely favorite, but has room to improve.
Race 2 - Night of Champions Series- Leg 2 ICF 3-yr-old trotting Colts
(3) LOUSCARDAMON appears to have all the kinks worked out after some early issues. The 3-year-old put in a big performance on the half-mile last out. (2) SWANEELOU is just now back in racing shape and has flashed good closing ability. (1) FOX VALLEY PICASO gets sent out for a capable barn starting from the inside. (4) BIG GARCIA VEGA has disappointed on the year; command a price.
Race 3 - Open
(6) ANNAS LUCKY STAR has been ultra-sharp in recent. The 5-year-old can only beat herself. (5) MANDEVILLE could be the only real threat to the top choice but likely needs a start coming off a month layoff. (2) JUSTLIKEHIM is starting to blossom into a nice consistent racehorse but would need a lifetime best to beat the top choice. (4) MEADOWBROOK GLIDER beat a much weaker bunch last week. The 6-year-old could be overbet and is best used on the bottom of the exotics.
Race 4 – NW3 (ICF 4)/15000 Lifetime (ICF 18750)/10000 Claimer
In a really weak field full of question marks, (3) MISS TENNESSEE just missed against much better two back. (4) I SEE SUCCESS has room to improve third start back off the bench. (1) MY GREEK PRINCESS picks up a positive driver change starting from the rail. (5) THERESAREASON is the morning line favorite and was the driver’s choice of three, but would need a big turnaround even against this bunch.
Race 5 – Night of Champions Series- Leg 2 ICF 3-yr-old trotting Colts
(3) LOURHIANON owns a nice brush from off the pace and would benefit from lots of early action up front. (4) LOUSRAPTOR will probably take heavy money with the addition of the top driver. The sophomore trotter will look to make it three straight at this track. (1) FRONTIER MANARD looks in line for an ideal trip up close. (2) TRIXIE’S TURBO is probably a notch below the others at this point.
Race 6 – NW5000L4
(2) ANOTHER BREATH looked like a winner last week before being picked off very late. The 6-year-old owns tons of back class when right. (1) NAUT E CAVIAR has made breaks in two straight but shows good efforts against slightly better at Hoosier. (3) BO I SEE TIME has yet to win on the year but fits in with this bunch nicely. (6) SCRAMBLE CAMP is probably capable despite burning cash last week at this level.
Race 7 – FM NW2500L4
(3) BLISSFUL PANSY adds first time Lasix taking a significant drop in class. The mare will offer good value and has multiple wins over the track. (5) IDEAL’S NICOLE the effort two back would put the 4-year-old mare on the top few spots. (7) LOOK KIMBO is probably ready for a much better effort third start back off the layoff. The 6-year-old needs a trouble-free trip from the provisional pilot. (6) WEEKLY SPECIAL went a huge back half of a mile last week sweeping past late against softer.
Race 8 – Night of Champions Series- Leg 2 ICF 3-yr-old trotting Fillies- $10k GTD Pick 4
(9) LOUZOTIC is clicking on all cylinders; fires early. (2) HEIDI HIGH has hit the board in 15 of 21 career starts. (7) LOU’S PARAMOUR has been no match for the top choice but is showing improvement. (4) FOX VALLEY ELICIT showed good late kick against weaker two back but would need more to tangle with the top choice.
Race 9 - 10000-15000 FM Claimer
(8) UNBROKEN CIRCLE was huge off the claim last week; big chance. (4) BUGATTI BEAUTY appears to need a start off six weeks but was on a good roll in Ohio. (7) OVER SPEEDING has been sharp since shipping in from Hoosier and benefits from the top driver. (9) MAGNIFIQUE might be the sleeper in the race should the pieces fall apart late.
Race 10 – FM NW4 (ICF 5)/30000 Lifetime (ICF 37500)/ 11000 Claimer
(7) SAND AND ROCKS is a 3-year-old filly that will likely find this level much easier than her competition at Hoosier. (4) FRONTIER GINGER drops back down and owns a win and a third at this level in recent; driver’s choice. (2) FRONTIER RED was close against similar last week. (9) FINLEYS FILLY has lots of room to improve second start back but needs to find a way into the race.
Race 11- NW4 (ICF 5)/30000 Lifetime (ICF 37500)/ 11000 Claimer/ AE NW5 (ICF 6)/ 40000 Lifetime
(2) SPORTS ANALYST was tremendous last week closing from far back. The 4-year-old will offer a big price and can pace with this bunch. (7) WAYMORE is the horse to beat going for three straight. (6) FOX VALLEY HIJINX almost got the job done against this group last week racing gamely. (8) YOUMAKEMYHEARTSING needs to be more involved early, which could be tough from another outside post.
