Spot Play: BIG EXPENSE (3rd)
Race 1
(5) FRONTIER FRED scored a nice easy victory last out with a good late burst. (2) C NOTE should be in line for a ground-saving trip up close this week. (8) BIGGER N BETTER needs a fast pace to close into for his best chance.
Race 2
(7) HOLLYWOOD SIGN A went a real nice back half last start from a tough spot. (5) ETHAN HANOVER will look to make it three straight wins bumping up in class. (1) ATOMIC ART gets sent out for capable connections with the best post.
Race 3
(7) BIG EXPENSE looks to offer a big price and shows multiple wins against similar. (8) PRIDE CREST will look to make it two straight; versatile. (6) ANTS INER PANTS eight-year-old mare isn’t what she once was but can threaten with a good effort.
Race 4
(5) SPUNKY BOTTOM GIRL lightly raced filly faces older but has tons of upside. (3) UNCLE BUCK flashed a big late kick before the scratch a few weeks ago. (6) LET’S GO COLOR has yet to win in eighteen career starts but is facing much weaker.
Race 5
(1) FOX VALLEY CHARLIZ gets the best post picking up a huge driver change. (7) NOVEMBER RAIN looks like the horse to beat on paper. The pacer makes his second start in a new barn and was loaded with late pace last week. (5) BELLE OF THE BEACH adds second time lasix off a much improved effort.
Race 6
(9) OH JOSEPHINE has burned cash five weeks in a row, however the 3-year-old filly faces a really soft group. (7) DANDY’S DUDUDIDUDU filly is inconsistent from week to week but can hit the ticket with a good setup. (3) DO YOU DARE is another consistent cash burner; command a price.
Race 7
(3) JEWELS HALL has been knocking on the door in two straight races at this level. (8) DRAGON JEWEL three-year-old filly rarely wins but is fast enough to beat this bunch with a smooth trip. (2) C FAR beat a better field last week at a price.
Race 8
(2) PARTY’S JET was no match for sire stakes competition but should find this spot much softer. (1) PARTY BELLE scored a huge win last out on the fair circuit. (5) SKYWAYBRENLINSFIB freshman pacer has been racing very green but does have room to improve.
Race 9
(1) LADY’S PARTY filly gets a big post edge on her main rivals. (9) BOOGIE ON DOWN might have a shot for end of the year honors with a few more wins; fire’s early. (8) PRINCESS SAGE talented 3-year-old is in desperate need of a driver change; use underneath.
Race 10
(5) LOTTA RICHESS is one of few in the race that’s been competitive against better on the year. (3) DANDY’S BROTHER has just been racing evenly but was not far off last out against similar. (8) DRAGGING DRAGON has some question marks coming off a scratch but will offer a big price in a weak and inconsistent field.
