Hawthorne Harness: Sunday 8/27 Analysis
Best Bet (16 - 28 / $80.80): PRINCESS SAGE (6th)
Spot Play: IDEALS OATH (5th)
Race 1
(3) BIGGER N BETTER adds second time lasix and should be much closer turning for home. (7) FOX VALLEY HOSS should have had more last week against similar; command a price. (2) DAN P picks up a big driver change in a field full of question marks.
Race 2
(6) CITIZEN KANE faces weaker with a much better starting post. (4) SAGEBRUSH SID has shown a decent closing burst in two straight. (5) P L JALAPENO was too far back last week racing into soft early fractions; fires late.
Race 3
In a wide open and evenly matched race, (2) MY MONA ME swooped the field last week from tough spot. A repeat of that effort puts her very close. (1) ASHLEES NANNAH almost scored at a huge price last week. The filly might be starting to figure it out after two improved efforts. (4) BEAMER N BUD was the driver's choice in a weak field.
Race 4
(3) NORTHERN ANGLE looks to offer a nice price off really good efforts against slightly better. (2) ROCKIN MACHINE is capable with a good setup. (5) FOX VALLEY INFERNO has a nice pedigree to show improvement late in the year; driver's choice.
Race 5
(8) IDEALS OATH set a lifetime mark last week drawing off. The 9-year-old mare bumps up in class but might be ready for another big effort. (6) RAZZLEME DAZZLEME picks up a big driver change in an inconsistent field. (7) AUNT ETHEL has lots of room to improve third start back off a long layoff.
Race 6
(9) PRINCESS SAGE filly gets sent out for a low percentage pilot but is probably the most talented of the group. (8) DELIGHTFULLY WILD has been racing gamely coming off a really nice wire to wire victory. (3) MORGANGETSHERWAY appears to be ready for a breakout mile at a price any week.
Race 7
(9) DRAGON JEWEL was the driver's choice of three and looks to offer nice value. (6) JEWELS HALL pacing filly has had trouble finishing her miles; use caution. (4) SAGEBRUSH SUE should be in line for another ground saving type trip but is probably best used underneath.
Race 8
(8) UNCLE BUCK lightly raced colt just missed last week showing a good late burst. (6) NEW QUEEN filly needs to stay trotting for a chance at a big piece. (7) MONSTR TOY might be the sleeper in the race picking up a positive driver change.
Race 9
(2) SKYWAYBRENLINSFIB has lots of room to improve third start out against a suspect bunch. (8) JOHN MD picks up a huge driver change for a hot barn. (5) FOUNDMYTREASURE has yet to win in sixteen career starts and looks to offer low value.
