Hawthorne Harness: Sunday 5/14 Analysis

Best Bet: LIBBY’S IDEA (12th)
Spot Play: WHO’S GOT THE MOVE (6th)
Race 1
(3) BLACK COTTON put in two decent qualifiers before the bad effort at Hoosier. The pacer probably needed the start anyway and faces much weaker. (1) BUSTER MOON kicked home nicely in the qualifier and gets the best post. (4) GOTONELESPROBWOUTU hit the board against much better a few starts back.
Race 2
(2) FINEWINEANDCAVIAR just needs to stay trotting for the biggest piece of the pie. (4) MACIE RAE six-year-old mare might be the only threat to the top choice if ready off the layoff. (7) CLEVER UPSTART doesn't win often but can hit the ticket underneath.
Race 3
(4) BETORLUCKYTHANGOOD four-year-old has a good record at this track and faces a much softer group. (5) SHADY'S DREAM BOY looks to offer low value and owns only one win on the year. (6) BLACKJACK RIVNDEL looks to need a start; use underneath.
Race 4
(5) DALI DELIGHT has been facing some stiff competition at Hoosier. The pacing filly could be the horse to beat in the series. (4) LAKESIDE MS QUEEN has put in two sharp qualifiers so far to start the year. (2) IYQ BNU should be in line for a nice ground saving trip up close.
Race 5
In a very tough race to handicap, (3) ROCKIN THE BABY might have an excuse with the off track last start. If the pacer bounces back to her prior efforts she's probably the horse to beat. (2) ALWAYS HAVE FAITH has room to improve in her second career start. (4) PARKLANE BLING gets sent out for a capable barn; driver's choice.
Race 6
(6) WHO'S GOT THE MOVE gets a big morning line and showed a good closing burst two back. (7) SHES GORGEOUS LADY filly has been real close to winning in three of her four starts on the year. (4) FOX VALLEY CHARLIZ looks primed for a good effort second start back off the layoff.
Race 7
(1) MR MCDREAMY well bred gelding tried Ohio sire stakes competition in his first start of the year finishing a solid third. (2) HEARTLAND REVUNUE has been pacing faster than most of the field; threat. (6) GETTIN ROWDY beat a weak field last start but would need more to hit the top spot.
Race 8
(1) I'VE GOT WAYS gets the best post in a field full of question marks. (2) SAGEBRUSH SONNY flashed some ability last year but could need a start off the long layoff. (6) DUMAS GRAM is the only horse in the field with a win on the year; threat.
Race 9
In another tough race to gauge, (2) FOX VALLEY CUPID is probably the fastest pacer in the field but has always been camera shy. (3) R DUNESHINE comes into the race off an excellent winning qualifier. (5) HIDE THE CHOCOLATE likely needs a start coming off a two year layoff. However the pacer showed a nice last quarter in the recent qualifier.
Race 10
(3) BUCKLEGIRL BOBETTE comes back for her 4-year-old season off a really nice qualifier. (4) REAL SHEILA five-year-old mare has been sharp in her first two efforts off the layoff. (5) STRAIGHT IMAGE well bred filly could be tough to get by late with if she rations out her speed early.
Race 11
(5) CHEEKIE well bred mare takes a huge drop down in competition. (4) PARKLANE DRAGON picks up a top driver in a weak and inconsistent field. (3) FOX VALLEY BAILEY has just been racing evenly but did make the most money in the field last year.
Race 12
(3) LIBBY'S IDEA has been knocking on the door against much tougher; short price. (6) DRAGON JEWEL has room to improve third start back for a proven barn. (7) PARKLANE FOREVER will offer a big price but has yet to hit the board in fourteen career efforts; use underneath.
