Hawthorne Harness: Saturday 6/10 Analysis

Best Bet (5 - 8 / $18.80): SMILES AHEAD (7th)
Spot Play: LOVETHEWAYYOULOOK (9th)
Race 1
(8) NEVADA BLUECHIP had way too much to do last week from a tough spot. The well bred mare is a huge threat with a good setup. (7) HOPE HOTSPUR steps up in competition but has more upside than most in the field. (5) HOT CAKES surprised last week with a big late burst once free late in the lane.
Race 2
(7) GORGEOUS VIEW shows good closing lines in three straight. The pacing gelding finds a very weak field to score a maiden victory. (6) SKYWAY FIREBALL lightly raced pacer has paced some decent miles in recent weeks; threat. (2) DAN P needed the start off the layoff and should be sharper.
Race 3
(1) I COULD CARE LESS nice-looking trotter is starting to find himself and will look to make it four straight wins. (3) ANNAS LUCKY STAR undefeated filly is probably the only threat to the top choice but probably needs a start. (6) MUSCALE has yet to win in eleven starts on the year; use underneath.
Race 4
(3) NORTHERN B B pacing mare will offer the better price of the contenders. (1) DELIGHTFULLY WILD gets the best post down in class off a really nice effort. (2) GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS hit the board at this level two back and will offer a monster price.
Race 5
(7) FRESH SQUEEZED was claimed for six thousand three starts ago. The well bred mare can score a victory in the open for a red hot trainer. (5) RYLEIGH'S LILLY is definitely the horse to beat, however the mare has a history of not staying sound for long. (6) KYLES SECRET is best used underneath but has been on a good roll.
Race 6
(7) LEXINGTON LADY hasn't been the same since an excellent 2-year-old season. The four-year-old mare might be starting to turn it back around. (2) NATY needed the start over the track last week and should be sharper down in class. (1) SISTER'S KEEPER gets the best post and has been competitive at this level.
Race 7
(5) SMILES AHEAD filly just missed beating a better bunch last week. (6) COWGIRL TOO filly has lots of room to improve in her second career start. (8) JEWELS HALL has yet to miss the board in four starts on the year and picks up a huge driver change.
Race 8
(9) ENERGY BAR well bred trotting mare faces a significantly weaker bunch than her last few; short price. (3) BEATRICE should be primed for a good effort third start back off the layoff. (2) PJ BOY will look to make it three straight wins against much tougher.
Race 9
(9) LOVETHEWAYOULOOK raced well off the short layoff. The 5-year-old looks to offer a nice price in a wide open race. (10) POWERFUL PULSE might have been the horse to beat with a better post. (2) ALL PINK dropped and popped last start down in class; use underneath.
Race 10
(3) MUSCLE IMAGE three-year-old is coming along nicely and has been getting better with every start; threat. (8) COFFEE TOFFY shows good efforts against better. The 5-year-old gelding can beat this bunch if he minds his manners. (2) LINDY'S ON FIRE had some sneaky late trot last out off a long layoff.
Race 11
(7) SAGEBRUSH SUE raced really well last out showing a good late kick. (3) DRAGON JEWEL lightly raced pacer has lots of room to improve off a nice win. (8) BARBARA NELL probably needs a start but could hit the ticket underneath if ready.
