Spot Play: SISTER’S KEEPER (8th)
Race 1
(7) HOT ROD DYLAN well bred pacer was dominant against the same field last week. (1) FOX VALLEY NEMITZ three-year-old came back off the layoff sharp and is probably the only threat to the top choice. (3) BOWEDFORTYOVA also has room to improve second start back.
Race 2
(7) IN YOUR EYE just missed circling the field last week. (1) IMA SKYDANCER was impressive in victory last week. (2) KID ROCKY might have been a winner if the pacer could have found room late last start.
Race 3
(4) SULLIVAN was never threatened last week and had more in the tank; short price. (6) COMMONDISCOURTESY is probably the main danger to the favorite but the driver opted to the top pick. (2) DADDY LET ME DRIVE had a lot of horse with nowhere to go last out.
Race 4
(5) MOBIL BIG JOHN raced big last week and now makes his first start in a new barn. (1) DOC'S DEAL really likes this track and looks to make it two straight. (4) FLASHY TRICK has hit the board in four of five starts.
Race 5
(2) MASERATI SEELSTER has been sharp in two straight miles. The pacer was claimed last week and could be even better. (3) KC RAMBUCTIOUS BOY made the most money of the field last year. The pacer will offer a big price and is one of few threats in the race if ready. (1) MASTER OF DESIRE needed the start last week but could probably use one more; use underneath.
Race 6
(5) SS LOVER has been facing slightly tougher in Indiana. The pacer looks to offer good value and is versatile. (6) KYLES SECRET was impressive last week against softer. A similar effort puts him right there. (7) VINTAGE BABE has been facing much tougher out east and was the driver's choice.
Race 7
In a very evenly matched race, (6) ALWAYS HAVE FAITH has a good pedigree and should improve in her third career start. (4) LIKETHEWAYOULOOK just raced evenly last week in her debut. The pacer has some upside and should only get better. (5) POWERFULL INTENSE had a good fair record last year.
Race 8
(8) SISTER'S KEEPER takes a significant drop in competition and looks to offer a big price. (2) SAM SWIFTY has been a consistent cash burner in recent starts; use caution. (10) FRESH SQUEEZED owns only one win on the year and gets a tough starting post.
Race 9
(9) MCCEDES shows excellent miles against better. (7) HIDE THE CHOCOLATE needed the start last week off over two years. The pacer showed a good late kick and has lots of room to move forward. (1) R DUNESHINE should be sharper second start back off the short layoff.
Race 10
(3) HEYHEY MAHANAH mare owns back class on the field and is facing significantly weaker than her last few. (2) ROLL TO GLORY paced a decent mile against better last week. The well bred mare is one of few threats in the race. (1) JETTING AROUND doesn't win often but does get the best starting post; command a price.
Race 11
In a wide open race, (9) ALWAYSSMOOTHRAIGIN would be the horse to beat with a different pilot in the bike. The 5-year-old raced really well last week but needs a smooth trip. (8) DALI TREASURE has just been racing evenly but does have a good history at the track. (1) WINGS will look to drop and pop down in class; threat.
