Race 1
(6) ROCKING KATIE has been sharp in two straight. (7) MYSTICAL NECTAR pacing mare has lacked pop since the month layoff but that won't last forever; threat. (8) NARCIAN JEWEL parlayed a perfect trip last week to an impressive win.
Race 2
In a wide open and evenly matched race, (8) BLUE GEM has been facing better and should offer a fair price. (4) HOORAY FOR HAZEL was much improved last week showing a good late kick. (1) ANOTHER TEMPTATION is off to a fantastic start to the year with two wins in three starts off the layoff.
Race 3
(7) CUINTHEPURPLERAIN four-year-old has lots of room to improve going for three straight. (6) SPECIAL SAUCE should benefit from being closer turning for home this week. The 3-year-old is one of few threats in the race. (2) ET TU BRUTE put in a big effort last week against this same bunch.
Race 4
(7) BOOGIE ON DOWN wasn't far off last out against tougher. The pacing mare has slightly disappointed so far but can rebound with a good setup. (1) DALI TREASURE should be in line for an excellent trip up close. (2) CHAR N MARG looks good on paper but has just been racing evenly; use caution.
Race 5
(7) WHATEVERSHESGOT raced huge after the miscue last week. If the 5-year-old minds her manners she can beat this group. (8) DEACON TONY impeccably bred trotter is fast when he stays trotting. (6) RIDGEWAY SPRINGS gets sent out for a provisional driver; command a price.
Race 6
(1) SUSIE'S SOUL crushed this bunch last week. (2) PENNYSFROMHEAVEN would need much more to get past the top choice; use underneath. (5) PRINCESS OSHIE should be in the mix for a piece with a trouble-free trip.
Race 7
(6) BLISSFUL PANSY will offer a big price and is just now back in racing shape. The 5-year-old mare has a good history at this track. (1) ROCKIN PRALINE well bred mare looks tough to beat on paper. (5) BEATIFUL BREW almost blew up the toteboard last week racing gamely against this same bunch.
Race 8
(5) WIMPLE'S DIMPLE has been knocking on the door in two straight. (6) C FAR comes into the final sporting two big wins in a row. The-4-year-old probably won't offer the huge price but can't be discounted from sweeping the series. (2) NOVEMBER RAIN pacing mare adds second time lasix and looks cranked for this exact spot.
Race 9
(2) LOUSCIPHER will likely be used more aggressively this week facing a suspect bunch. (1) LINDY'S ON FIRE probably needs a start but has a lot of ability. (3) DRIVEN gelding went from awesome to empty last week. A good effort puts him in the mix.
Race 10
In a weak and inconsistent field full of question marks, (1) LUCY FLEW has lots of room to improve third start back off a long layoff. (6) YOUNG AMERICAN is probably the horse to beat despite having not won a race in a long time. The pacing mare picks up a huge driver change. (5) SCARLET V has just been racing evenly; use underneath.
