Hastings Park: Illusive Park, Aquita win

Illusive Park, favored at 2-1, led the field of nine British Columbia-bred 2-year-olds all the way to win the $100,025 Jack Diamond Futurity at Hastings Park. Native Judge was 2 3/4 lengths back in second. Trained by Robert Van Overschot, Illusive Park ($6.70) covered the 6 1/2 furlongs on a fast main track in 1:18.30.

In the $106,135 Sadie Diamond Futurity, the female counterpart to the Jack Diamond, Aquita ran off the pace set by Searchin South, then made a three-wide move and went on to a 1 1/2-length victory over Dee's Love. The 5-2 favorite, My Miss Emily, was close in the early running but faded to ninth in the field of 11. Aquita ($10.80) covered the distance in 1:18.67.
