Hastings: Overvalued wires Supernaturel Stakes

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Overvalued led from start to finish in the $50,000 Supernaturel Stakes at Hastings on Sunday.
Jockey Dave Wilson restrained Overvalued through moderate fractions of 24.19 seconds and 47.47 in the 1 1/16-mile feature. She opened up a clear lead on the stretch turn and then easily held off the late move from heavily favored Castinette Dancer. The winning margin was 2 1/2 lengths. Belle Evangeline, who prompted the early pace, finished third.
The final time was 1.45.14.
“She really relaxed, and when I took a look at the tote board and saw we got the first quarter in 24, I knew we had a good shot,” Wilson said. “When I asked her to run, she really ran hard for me.”
Overvalued paid $15.30 to win. She is trained by Tracy McCarthy.
