Hastings: Mutti leaving as general manager to oversee Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Great Canadian Gaming Corporation announced Tuesday that Hastings general manager Raj Mutti is leaving the Vancouver track to play a pivotal role in rebranding and renovating the Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam, British Columbia, into the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver. Mutti has been named executive director of the Hard Rock Casino, which is expected to open this winter. Great Canadian is the parent company of Hastings and the owner of the Boulevard Casino.

Mutti has been with Hastings for 15 years and became the general manager in 2007. He graduated from the University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program in 2004 and was honored with the John K. Goodman Alumni Award in 2012. The award is presented to a graduate of the program who has made an outstanding contribution to the horse racing industry.

Mutti’s assistant, Darren MacDonald, has been appointed interim general manager until a permanent replacement is named.
