Harvest Moon has returned to trainer Simon Callaghan’s stable at Santa Anita after a brief rest following a fourth-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Keeneland on Nov. 7. “We gave her a little break at the farm,” Callaghan said on Sunday. “She’s been back for the last three or four days at Santa Anita.” Callaghan said the Grade 1 Beholder Mile for fillies and mares at a mile at Santa Anita on March 13 is an early-season goal for Harvest Moon. Owned by Alice Bamford and Michael Tabor, Harvest Moon has won 4 of 6 starts and earned $340,720. She won her stakes debut in the Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile at Del Mar on Aug. 22 and followed with a win in the Grade 2 Zenyatta Stakes against older fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles at Santa Anita on Sept. 27. :: Start earning weekly cashback on your wagering today. Callaghan plans to start Lighthouse in the Grade 3 Las Cienegas Stakes at six furlongs on turf at Santa Anita on Jan. 9. Owned by Larry, Nancy, and Jaime Roth’s LNJ Foxwoods, Lighthouse won the $360,385 Music City Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs for 3-year-old fillies at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 15 in her most recent start. “She’s coming back really strong,” Callaghan said. “That was our intention when she won last time out was to give her a little bit of a breather.” Lost In Space, a 2-year-old colt by Dark Angel, is joining Callaghan’s stable for a 2021 campaign. Previously trained by John Gosden in England, Lost In Space has won 3 of 6 starts, including his last three races. Lost In Space won a one-mile handicap against four rivals at Newmarket on Sept. 24. Lost In Space raced for Qatar Racing in England. Shares in the colt have been sold to Marsha Naify and LNJ Foxwoods with Qatar Racing retaining a portion, Callaghan said. “He was a progressive 2-year-old and won his last three,” Callaghan said. “He should be a nice colt in the stakes division.” Callaghan said Lost In Space could race as soon as February or March.
