HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Tejano Twist and Wendelssohn, who both came back to win after finishing second to Banishing in separate races this meet at Oaklawn, could see stakes action next, according to their trainer, Chris Hartman.
Hartman said Tejano Twist is on deck for next month’s Grade 3 Whitmore. He won the King Cotton one start after his runner-up finish to Banishing in a Dec. 20 allowance.
Wendelssohn took a conditioned allowance Feb. 2 at Oaklawn one start after he ran second to Banishing in an overnight stakes Jan. 23. Hartman said last week plans for Wendelssohn are to be determined, but that he would be considered for the Whitmore.

Banishing owns the top two Beyer Speed Figures of the meet, putting up a 103 for the allowance win and a 100 in the overnight stakes. Tejano Twist earned a 100 when second in the allowance and Wendelssohn earned a 100 for his recent allowance win.
Run Classic and Ryvit, a pair of stakes winners who finished behind Banishing in the Dec. 20 allowance, both make their first start since that race in Friday’s allowance feature at Oaklawn.
Banishing is being considered for the Razorback, according to his trainer, David Jacobson.
