Harrington: Pacing fillies race in second DSBF leg

Odds On Surfer Gal ($5.40, Corey Callahan) and Gaitway Gal ($2.10, Pat Berry) were victorious in the second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for 3-year-old pacing fillies Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
Odds On Racing's Odds On Surfer Gal was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:54 over Tahoe and Smokey's Passion. Race favorite Shabby Chic made a break near the half-mile mark and finished last. A daughter of Badlands Hanover, the win completed a sweep of DSBF elims for Odds On Surfer Gal, who has four career wins in seven starts.
Gty Stable's Gaitway Gal completed a sweep of her eliminations with a 1:55 win over Bank The Win and Two More Dreams. The Jeff Smith trainee reeled in pace-setter Bank The Win with a first-over charge in achieving her eighth lifetime win.
The top eight point earners from the two rounds of eliminations will return for the $100,000 final on July 28.
Barton Dalious had three wins on the card. Victor Kirby had a double.
The Wednesday, June 22 program will feature four divisions of 3-year-old trotters in DSBF second leg action.
