Harrington: Little Miss Peyton romps in DSBF elimination

Donna Messick's Little Miss Peyton ($2.10, Corey Callahan) was a dominant 1:56 2/5 victor, and the fastest of a trio of 2-year-old Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) filly pacing divisional winners Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

The Papa Ray-sired filly was an open-lengths winner over Sweet Samsara and Mimosa On The Key. Trained by Les Givens, it was her third win in six career starts and one of four wins on the card for Givens.

George and Tina Dennis and The Wiz Kids Stable's Im Won Last Wiser ($4.80, Montrell Teague) prevailed in the second split with a 1:58 3/5 triumph over Valentina Station and Tilted Crown. The Badlands Hanover filly surged first-over on the final turn and wore down Valentina Station late for her first career win for trainer Joe Columbo.

The final DSBF split went to Jo Ann Looney-King's Immaculate Inning ($9, Ross Wolfenden) in 1:58 3/5 for trainer Jim King Jr. over Bella Artiste and Mornin Merle. The Roddy's Bags Again filly picked up her first career win.

In the $22,500 Free-For-All Mares Pace, Jim Magno and Joe Fonte's Incaseyoudidntknow ($3.60, Jim Morand) was a 1:53 2/5 winner over Odds On Hail Mary and Melody Hanover. The Givens trainee notched her seventh win of the season and second recently from post eight.

Round two of DSBF action for 2-year-old trotters highlights the Wednesday (October 2) program. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
