Harrington: Gaitway Guy improves to two-for-two in DSBF

Gty Stable's Gaitway Guy ($2.10, Corey Callahan) was the fastest of four Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) winners Monday at Harrington Raceway with a 1:57 3/5 triumph in a $20,000 second leg division for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings.
Trained by Jeff Smith, the Delmarvalous gelding was under confident first-over handling before clearing the lead near the three-quarters and winning by nearly 10 lengths over Luck Is A Lynx and Notte's Mist.
It was one of three straight wins for Callahan on the card, as he went on to win the next two races with Ocean Ridge N ($7.80) and Aberdeen Hanover ($5.40).
In the remaining DSBF divisions, a pair of Southwind Lynx sons prevailed in George Teague Jr. and David Collins' Ajayi ($2.40, Montrell Teague) in 1:59 3/5, and Cynthia Collins and Chris White's Showdown Lynx ($28.40, Ross Wolfenden) in 1:59.

George and Tina Dennis' Mack ($3.40, Mike Cole) won the $17,500 overnight feature in 1:53 4/5. The Joe Columbo trainee recorded his fourth triumph of the year. It was the second win of three total on the card for Cole, Columbo and Dennis. Wolfenden also had a driving triple.
