Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 2-year-olds kicked off the week of racing at Harrington Raceway Monday, as a pair of $20,000 divisions for pacing colts and geldings were contested.
Forrest Bartlett's Primo Maschio ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to six-for-six lifetime with a 1:54 4/5 win for trainer Kevin Lare over Lew Not Lou and Won Last Call. The Badlands Hanover gelding never had an anxious moment in his front-end score.
Tlb Racing's Shore Not Beach ($2.80, Pat Berry) won the remaining flight in 2:01 4/5. The Badlands Hanover gelding was making his first career start and won on the front-end over Badlands Boogie and Strange Brew.
In the overnight feature, Andrew Glassmeyer's Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51 3/5 winner after narrowly passing pace-setter Iwannabewithyou in the final strides. Captaincountrystar was third. Sweet Angel Boy won his ninth race of the year for his owner/trainer Glassmeyer and boosted his seasonal earnings to nearly $140,000.
