Harrington: DSBF events for rookie pacing males featured on Monday

Leonard Hubbard's Z's Dream ($2.80, Art Stafford Jr.) and Mst Racing Inc. and George Teague's Subban ($3.60, Montrell Teague) each won their respective $20,000 divisions in the second leg of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 2-year-old colt and gelding pacers Monday at Harrington Raceway.
The top eight point earners from all divisions will return to compete in the $100,000 final events on October 7.
Z's Dream led in wire-to-wire fashion from the rail for trainer Andrew Stafford, as the Dream Away gelding completed a sweep of his eliminations. Squeak On By was second, with Marvelous Winner third.
Subban, a Clyde Francis trainee and son of Southwind Lynx, sat in the pocket throughout for red-hot driver Teague behind pace-setter Syndergaard - who was bidding for an elimination sweep - before surging by when given clearance in the stretch. Syndergaard held second, with Can't Get Right, also trained by Francis, third.
Teague had five wins on the card, three for Francis.
