Harrington: Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund events continue

Kdk Standardbreds' Heinikin Bythebay ($2.60, Jason Thompson) won his fourth straight race Monday (1:55 2/5) and headed a quartet of winners, three of which were sired by Southwind Lynx, in the second leg of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund elimination action for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings Monday at Harrington Raceway. Each race carried a purse of $20,000.
The Kevin Switzer trainee was a comfortable front-end winner over Hiro Knockout and Clear Mist. The Southwind Lynx colt improved to four-for-six in his young career and will be one of the favorites in the October 4 $100,000 final.
Team Teague won two of the divisions, including It's Pronounced Jif ($2.20, Montrell Teague) for owner George Teague and trainer Clyde Francis. The Southwind Lynx colt came out a nose ahead in a tight photo with runner-up Imwoncaptainwiser, while Callaland was third. Teague had five driving wins on the program.

Eric Foster's Bad And Boujee ($4.20, Russell Foster) won the remaining division in 1:55 4/5. The Badlands Hanover gelding was a two length winner over Johnny Badlands and Nipsey. Trained by his owner, Bad And Boujee earned his first career win after a second-place finish in his elimination last week.
The top eight point earners will return for next week's DSBF final.
