Harrington: Callahan tallies twice in Delaware Standardbred Breeders' Fund finals

Greg Reinhart|Jul 24, 2026

Driver Corey Callahan guided filly trotter Tuis Star and gelding pacer C Millertimeagain to victories in their respective $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders' Fund finals for 3-year-olds on Thursday night at Harrington Raceway.

Tuis Star (paid $2.10 to win), a daughter of E L Platinum, got up late to edge pace-setter Emerys Angels (Art Stafford Jr.) by a nose in 1:59 4/5. Trainer David Wiest also bred Tuis Star with Edward Kimmel and now co-owns her with Donald Wiest.

C Millertimeagain (paid $3.60 to win) held sway on the front-end to fend off favorite Watch Em Win (Tim Tetrick) by three-quarters of a length in 1:52 2/5. The victorious Roddy's Bags Again gelding is trained by Molly Gara for owners Ervin Miller Stable Inc., Joellen Frawley and James Knowlton and was bred by Pamela Schoot.

Callahan also took the $35,000 Charles D. Murphy Jr. Memorial for older trotters with Nick Callahan-trained Speed Away and the $25,000 Presidents Cup for older pacers with Jason Johnson trainee Saulsbrook Genesis to give him a grand slam during Harrington's richest program of the year, which occurred during the Delaware State Fair.

Winning the other DSBF finals were Sports Column filly Lovers Cay (bred by Willow Mill Stables, paid $4.80 to win) in 1:56 2/5 for driver Brandon Givens, trainer Kristyann Rash and owner Anthony Carson Jr. and Top Flight Angel colt Topflight Champion (bred by Marvin and Nathan Miller, paid $2.10 to win) in 1:57 1/5 for trainer/driver Eddie Dennis and owners E & K Stable Inc. and Robert Nibblett Jr.

In other action during the card, the $50,000 Governor's Cup for older male pacers was won by Wehadababyetzaboy in 1:51 2/5 for driver Brandon Givens and trainer Chuck Crissman Jr., while Jett Propelled took the $35,000 Legislator's Cup for older pacing mares in 1:52 3/5 with Jason Thompson in the bike for breeder/owner/trainer Robert Shahan.
