Harrah's Philadelphia: Wiggle It Jiggleit gets another qualifying win
2015 Harness Horse of the Year Wiggle It Jiggleit has now made it two of three winning qualifiers as he prepares to make it back to the races after an absence of three years, tallying today in 1:54 1/5 by 1 3/4 lengths at Harrah’s Philadelphia.
Montrell Teague was in his usual spot in the sulky of Wiggle It Jiggleit, directing the 7-year-old altered son of Mr Wiggles to the top and setting fractions of 28 3/5, 57 2/5, and 1:26. The winner of $3.9 million had a two-length lead at the top of the stretch over Kiwi Ideal N, and basically maintained that advantage to the finish.
Clyde Francis trains Wiggle It Jiggleit in the George Teague Jr. stable for the ownership of George Teague Jr. Inc. and Teague Racing Partnership LLC. The plan is for more preparatory work for the horse who has not raced since October of 2016 before he would see any pari-mutuel action and any further decisions would be made on his racing career.
"I just want him to get a little more fit and keep progressing," George Teague said to James Withrite when asked about his expectations for the qualifier before the race. "He seems like the same horse he's always been. He just needs to build back up."
