Harrah's Philadelphia: Thursday 6/20 Analysis

By James Witherite
Race 1
5 - KING HARVEST struggled in his last two tries for $25k at Harrington, but won convincingly at this level four back.
1 - DANCIN HILL stormed home to just miss on debut for Ruiz. Nap takes over the lines on the 19-time winner; mind value.
8 - I'LL CALL U LATER hit the board in his last four races, and he just missed on the step up to this level. Debuts for Kesmodel.
Race 2
3 - FORBIDDEN SONG worked to protect a no-match second behind Trixar in his last. He's hit the board in 3 of 4 at the level.
4 - FANATIC only missed the board once this season, and he turned in a 1:56 mile in pursuit of Biodetti Hanover last week. Form a plus.
2 - GRACE AM has earned money in all six career starts, including a Stallion Series event. Cosy draw yields a close tracking spot.
Race 3
6 - SHERRY LYNS LADY posted the strongest last quarters over three turns among any here. Qualifiers indicate ample fitness.
2 - AVA KATHRYN wired seven foes in her lone qualifier, parrying late pressure to narrowly win. Figures to be prominent with ease.
5 - RASTA BLUE CHIP wired her Pocono foes on June 12 after clearing from post 6 and rating. Debuts for sparkling connections.
Race 4
7 - L DEES BELLA makes her second start after just missing form an earned pocket last week. She's sharpening up, to be sure.
3 - PROTEAS hit the board in four of his last five, with a break leading to the lone miss. Staying power is beyond respectable.
8 - ALL RIGHT NOW was just better than even last time out with the addition of Callahan. Good enough for a minor despite wide draw.
Race 5
4 - ELYSIUM LINDY rises off a decisive third-level win. There's not much speed to his inside; every chance to control this one.
9 - GUARD YOUR HEARTS is Dunn's choice after a solid chasing effort from the pocket in her last. She rises, but so do five others.
1 - CASINO CUTIE IT draws cosily after strong closing kicks of late.
6 - IZOH pressed and stalked to hit the board in two tries at the level.
Race 6
1 - SWING CITY was only just beaten in both starts for King. He has ample excuse for poor finishes in upper-level Yonkers races.
5 - MR HASANI N couldn't get involved at Yonkers last out, but draws comfortably on arrival and drops a level. Back class noted.
3 - GALLIC BEACH didn't lack for pace behind Jack Roger last week, but could not get involved from astern. Post relief lands him closer.
Race 7
5 - DON DREAM was one-paced behind a tough pair in last week's top-level race after a decisive fifth-level win. Sharp!
2 - DOG GONE LUCKY figures to be close with ease from this inside draw after a 1:52.3 mile at Pocono. Stayer boasts versatility.
3 - DEO sustained a first-over push to the fore a fortnight ago before staving off Izoh. Hard-earned wins encourage on the step up.
Race 8
1 - SWEET SUE was a no-match second to Odds On Clearwater last week after leaving for the pocket. Pole can sharpen her up.
5 - MISS EILEEN was fourth or better in four of her last five, and also exits the Odds On Clearwater race. There's staying ability.
8 - SHOTGUN PERSUASION made two moves in her lone qualifier, landing close to the pace and then working into second. Value option.
Race 9
2 - VERY VERY FAST lived up to his name with 1:53 miles in his last two races. He drops and draws kindly on arrival. The target.
1 - SPEE CLUB graduated from the N5L ranks with a win on May 31, but broke late in his last. Every chance to make amends from the pole.
4 - MAGICAL BELIEFS is a stakes-placed filly who turned in solid chasing efforts twice in her last three. Easier — but older — await.
Race 10
3 - PLAY TRIX ON ME brushed and sprinted off boldly in his qualifier last week. Solid option from strong connections.
4 - MEADOWBROOK CHIP drew $100k as a yearling, and he qualified well at Pocono last week via two moves. Be mindful of value.
8 - FASHION HILLTOP showed pacesetting and closing ability. Wide draw is likely the $120k Lexington yearling's biggest obstacle.
Race 11
4 - WINWOOD SCOUT debuts for the Schadels off a lone Q. In his last Ohio starts, he had clear excuses. McCarthy's choice.
3 - CHARLES VII drops in class after clearing, giving way, and chasing to protect third last out. Be wary of underlay potential.
5 - ABC AGAIN pressed out of midfield last out before fading off the far turn. The 15-time winner drops to his last winning level.
Race 12
6 - ACROSS THE POND comes in off three straight top-four finishes and she boasts a speed edge. Capable presser-stalker.
1 - POCONO HANOVER hasn't missed a cheque in his last six, and turned in a solid first-over effort last out. Close with the pole.
4 - MAJOR BOLT didn't lack for late trot in his third start after an even outing the week before. Gradual improvement noted.
Race 13
4 - SODA PUMP rises after parrying pressure and sprinting off last week. He was a front-end winner at this level seven back.
7 - SKYWAY COBRA loses Miller, but he drops back to a competitive level after toiling to stay even with fourth-level types.
8 - INAPERFECTWORLD stayed on better from mid-division in a similar race at Pocono. He overcame a wide draw to win three back.
Race 14
3 - MATTER OF FACT is a stakes-placed filly who chased well for minors in three of four since breaking maiden. Easier await.
2 - TURVILLE HANOVER adds Lasix after a failed first-over push at odds-on last Sunday. Post relief can help sharpen him as well.
5 - REMARKABLE DE VIE won in 1:53.4 for $70k at Rosecroft a month ago. While hit or miss, when he's on, he's on. Value option.
