Harrah's Philadelphia: Pick Four Spotlight for Thursday 4/11

Brett Sturman|Apr 10, 2013

$1 play: 1-8 / 1-4-8 / 2-3 / 7 $12

Race 7

TUDY is in sharp form for Torbert and aims for three straight after upsetting Lady Sorro two back and repeating easily last out. He is loaded with early speed and the outside post shouldn't be an issue. On the other bookend, SCRATCH OFF recovered well following an early break last out. Virgil Morgan trainee is always a risky proposition but he's clearly good enough should he trot. RINGSISDE MUSLCE has been first over in his last pair; will offer a much better price today.

Race 8

HE DA COOL MAN appeared to be home midway through the lane last out before he tired late, but it was still a good enough try on the front end. He now makes his third start back since January; speed will be coming. TROUBLE HANOVER looked to be backing away from the pocket at three quarters last out but somehow came back to re-rally for the win; interesting trip. Short priced contender. GO GET EM will likely take serious support once again, but he faltered in his last with no real excuse. BIG TEN CHAMP makes his second start back.

Race 9

CHEETAH HALL went uncovered against a good winner last week into a 1:55 mile and finished well clear of all others. Winner of her race two back already came back to repeat. PETTY HANOVER makes his second start back and now drops. Had pace at the end of that recent try and the winner from that race would beat these easily. REV IT NOW disappointed last out as the even money favorite; any live flow aids chances now.

Race 10

DONTGETINHISWAY makes his second start back for Burke and appears to stand out against these. The 1:52 winner from last year looked really good in his seasonal debut last week and he'll be the controlling factor in here; deserving odds-on favorite. KEEPIN THE CHIPS closed willingly last out against a horse that has now won five in a row; will be moving forward late. IDOL KEMP won in 1:55 2/5 two back; lands the pole and figures to be heard from.
