Race 7

ZANDER MASSIMO made the lead through a quick opening quarter last week and never showed any signs of letting up in a convincing 1:53 win. Faces a similar group today and no question about the strategy as an obvious short priced contender. DRAGON AHS drops back down to the 10's for a barn that's winning with everything right now. Had no excuse in his most recent, however. Tough call on THE ENCOUNTER as the barn is winless, but this one does exit a first over try against a winner that came back to win again on Thursday.

Race 8

FRIDAY AT FIVE is yet to advance out of the basement condition as a 4-year-old, but this is his weakest field to date and won't offer any excuses from the rail. Barn has been hot recently. ELIJAH HANOVER might take action off that most recent mile at Dover; track was playing lightning quick that day and the time might be deceiving. We'll see. EASTWOOD BLUE CHIP hasn't shown anything of late but was still Pierce's pick. Longshot hunch. IZZY REAL drops; is capable of showing speed.

Race 9

STARS ABOVE has prepped for this race well enough in those couple qualifiers at Freehold and most likely can go with these. Ginsburg to Miller will attract attention; why not. MOVIE SEQUEL looks fastest on paper but career record now stands at 0-10. Hard to completely disregard or at the same time be excited about. FALCON'S BREEZE flashed speed last out and was lunging in the final yards to just miss. AIRBURST HANOVER is too unproven to back just off that recent lone qualifier.

Race 10

CAPE MARJ was reclaimed last out by Hartline and finally gets away from Brickyard Nellie after chasing that one for three consecutive races. Carlson will need to find a way into it but the price will be there. B J'S SKYE left into a :26:4 opening quarter in her first start for Schadel and that was a sharp rival she was second to. Get's a new driver in Callahan; a possibility. MESSIE HANOVER retains Tetrick as expected for DiDomenico but this one didn't have much excuse last out at 9/5. Short priced contender once again. MCACE OF ARTS makes her second start back.
