Harrah's Philadelphia: Pick Four Spotlight for Sunday 4/14

Brett Sturman|Apr 12, 2013

$1 play: 2-3-6 / 7 / 4-7 / 3-4-8 $18

Race 7

CHARNIES was improved last out and the apparent driver change is sure to attract plenty of attention. Trotter with a similar looking profile shipped up from Rosecroft and won last Sunday. It's hard to believe NITROGLIDE HANOVER got nailed last week considering his trip, career record now stands at 0 for 21. He always looks fastest on paper but it's one thing or another; I don't know what to tell you. BROADWAY STEPUP drops from more serious competition at Pocono; contender. MAN ABOUT TIME will be defending his ground from the inside; GIANT Z TAM goes first start for Cameron.

Race 8

DELAWARE HANOVER won in 1:53 here last year as a freshman and had a very useful mile last week to re-acclimate. A price would be nice with Milby down to drive; we'll see. OOH BAD BOY won in in his 10th lifetime start last out when an early breaker scattered much of the field. Might have proved best anyway but this is tougher. NITTANY NATION is another that faces a tougher field; can't discount his win last week in first start back. CAMTURO BEACH did the first over; Hammer just 2 for 91 training on the year.

Race 9

It's hard to believe that someone in here is going to come away with their first win today; not much to recommend on view. RHYTHM IN ART had no shot last when he was scattered in his first start back on the year; qualified a few back against a couple FFA'llers. Stands just as good a chance as any. CALL HIS BLUFF was up against it in his career debut; McArdle gelding could show more. BALBOA HANOVER showed speed two back in a race that went in 1:53:2; trainer Lebo is nearly 50% on the year from limited starts.

Race 10

BEAU JOE was on his way to winning last week before he self destructed mid stretch; would have beaten a nice horse in Broadway Rocks also. He won his prior three races by almost 20 lengths, deserves another chance. GASLIGHT almost beat Uncle Peter in a qualifier three back; certain to be an early pace factor. C-O-TO BLUEGRESS defeated weaker last out but second finisher from that race already came back to win easily on Thursday. JUSTGOTTOGETTHERE is moving in the right direction.
