Harrah's Philadelphia: Our Max Phactor claims first Great Northeast Open Series victory

Our Max Phactor ($6.40) and George Napolitano Jr. sustained a first-over push into stout fractions on his way to victory in Sunday afternoon's (Aug. 11) $30,000 Great Northeast Open Series pacing event at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Our Max Phactor, a New Zealand import, was unhurried from post two in the early stages, content to let Mach N Cheese (Simon Allard) and Tiger Thompson (Andy McCarthy) duel through a 26 second first quarter before commencing his first-over ascent into a 54 second half. Up the backstretch, the 7-year-old Art Major gelding made his strongest advances, pushing a head past Mach N Cheese nearing three-quarters in 1:20 4/5 and putting away that rival on the far turn.
Off the home corner, Our Max Phactor was driven out to evade a late rally from Slick Tony (Tony Morgan) — who swung off third-over cover — by a diminishing neck in 1:49 4/5. Donttellmeagain (Tim Tetrick) improved belatedly to finish third.
Trainer Andrew Harris's A Harris Racing LLC. co-owns Our Max Phactor with Michael Goldberg Racing LLC., Bruce Areman and the Prem Dan Stable.
