Harrah's Philadelphia: Friday 6/7 Analysis

By James Witherite
Race 1
6 - SUCCESSFUL OUTLOOK circled cover to win at Pocono two back, but was stung in trying to clear. Kind spot to rebound.
8 - ROSY OUTLOOK drops from $15k on the claim by Oakes. While she'll have to overcome the outside, she did beat tougher four back.
4 - MODESTA gets a pass for her May 14 outing in the slop after clearing from post 7. Since, she was shuffled and re-emerged to save third.
Race 2
3 - GOINROUNDNCIRCLES withstood an uncovered grind through strong middle splits and still held third. Three foes rise.
8 - A CRAFTY LADY chased decently for minors against tougher in her last five. Class relief comes, but post 8 looms. Mind value.
1 - BETTOR TRIX N was a first-over winner at Harrington last out after dropping rapidly from upper-level Yonkers races. Pole keeps her close.
Race 3
2 - GUARANTEED looks to make amends for a break in a PASS at Pocono on Sunday. Excuse due to off track; NJ lines impress.
7 - FIRE'N WOODSHED was only just collared in the $70k Maryland final, and his 1:53.4 mile is the fastest over three turns on this page.
5 - ARGLBARGL HANOVER brushed as the favourite last week only to be engulfed. Three back, he pressed past similar. Capable with best.
Race 4
5 - SINISTER HANOVER hit the board in four of his last five, with the lone miss due to a break amid early exertion. Likely target.
1 - WONDERMENT HANOVER has been fourth or better in her last four starts, and has consistently shown ability to chase from midfield.
7 - WAYWARD MAN is a credible minor player by way of his late bids from astern for minor cheques. Can share off cover yet again.
Race 5
5 - DEEP DREAMER drops in from claiming company in her second start for Surick. Nap opts on; class relief is significant.
1 - EDEN PAIGE N struggled from astern in a tougher race at Yonkers in her last, but sustained a brush before. Easier await.
8 - OUR GAMMA LADY N was even on the step down. Gains Tetrick.
2 - WINDY SPORT crosses over from claimers. Traffic hindered in last.
Race 6
6 - AS TIME GOES BY demonstrated increased versatility in solid stakes outings since breaking maiden on May 2. The one.
8 - MARYMACISBACK lifted late to just miss two back and came back to wire similar at 9-1. She'll have to work to overcome post 8.
3 - MIRASOL comes in off five straight top-four finishes, but she's only 1-for-17 in her career. Typically even late; can share reasonably.
Race 7
5 - ANTONIA worked her way to a 1:54.3 win at The Meadows two back. She can rebound off a failed press in this kinder spot.
7 - WORTHYOURATTENTION made steady headway to just miss at 15-1 at this level after minor success at Yonkers from a variety of trips.
2 - CARDINALE tends to her best work when on or near the lead, and this kind inside draw puts her right in the heart of the action.
Race 8
4 - IDEAL LIFESTYLE A was a game second in a top-level race last week, and now drops again. Matchmaker lines impressed.
1 - ROCK N SHARD N won her last three over this course, via pacesetting and pressing tactics alike. Strong, fast and versatile!
3 - VORST almost lasted on the lead one and three back. She fares reasonably well at this level and tougher; post lands her close.
Race 9
4 - ELLEOFADELI hasn't missed the board in nearly two months. Despite just being 1-for-11, form and staying power encourage.
2 - PONDER THE ODDS broke in her local debut but won decisively at Yonkers on May 13. Inside draw should be more to her liking.
1 - IRON MISTRESS couldn't get involved from astern in her first try against winners, but should fare better from the pole. Value option.
Race 10
2 - ATABOY HANOVER toiled from an earned pocket last out, but was forced to chase a stout third split. Further relief lifts him.
4 - GLOBAL ICE had easier times staying on when involved in the pace at Pocono earlier in the spring. Midpack draw can get her closer.
3 - MISS RUBY chased from pocket and cover trips to hit the board against tougher on April 4 and 11. Time off is my main concern.
Race 11
1 - BACKSEAT TERROR seeks a natural hat trick after evading the late threat of Sweet Cherry on the rise to this level. Strong!
2 - LYONS HEDGEABET does step up in her second start for Dowse, but it's worth noting she forced a :27 third quarter last week and she kicked cover to beat similar at Woodbine in March.
7 - SWEET CHERRY rallied off cover for second on the jump to this level after a pair of N3L wins. Can share with cover; mind value.
Race 12
3 - DUDESALADY was outmatched in top-level races, but sustained an uncovered bid OK here last week. Easier await.
8 - SLICK ARTIST A rallied well both one and three back for third against similar. Sustained brush can help her overcome the wide draw.
6 - TERROR AT NIGHT sprinted off under sustained pressure to beat third-level company after toiling in similar fields as Dudesalady.
Race 13
5 - CAYENNE VICTORY hit the board in 10 of 12 this year, and she's well drawn to be involved from the start. Can lead or stalk.
1 - FIERY LADY pulled pocket in her local debut and edged away in upper stretch. Tougher await today, but she should be sharper.
8 - TRAIN OF THOUGHT saved fourth after breaking last week, and previously rallied into second at 15-1. Staying power encourages.
Race 14
5 - SNEAKY GIRL drops again after pressing and chasing to hold second in a third-level race. That last step clearly helped.
1 - PIRAEUS looks to build off a pair of third-place finishes. The 9-time winner's improving form is aided by this cosy inside draw.
2 - CHILLIN IT DE VIE toiled from the pocket two back and was unable to get into the race from astern since. Drops; draws inside.
