Race 1 - Claiming Handicap $20,000-$25,000
6 - ROLL N CATCH broke at Harrington in his return outing, but was good with just kinder company over three turns at Dover this winter. Great rebound chance awaits the versatile pacer who won two of his last three at Dover. 1 - OUR POSITANO N tries the claiming ranks after lifting well into the money in three straight lower-level M1 races. Pole keeps him close; Dubé knows him well. 7 - MAJOR KEY debuts for Hundertpfund off the claim after failing to threaten locally last out. He fared well in $20k starter events at Harrington in June; can share with similar.
Race 2 - Claiming $15,000
3 - WE THINK ALIKE rose from $10k starter events last out and stayed on to hit the board after vaulting clear from post 8. A kinder draw can help his cause second out at the level, especially given a general lack of early speed elsewhere. 8 - IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N chased well from an earned pocket to just miss Boogie Shuffle at Pocono in a similar race a couple weeks ago. He's proven his ability to take air, and Tetrick opts aboard over a returning winner in Statesman N. 4 - STATESMAN N pressed to beat $12.5k types at Yonkers a couple weeks ago, and looked completely refreshed in his second start back. Can ramp up, but variables remain.
Race 3 - Non-Winners $2,500 Last 5 Starts
7 - ROLL WITH FRED chased well to save third at this level last week after early exertion left him struggling late against tougher the week before. He shows the most of anyone in recent tries at this level. 3 - OOH BAD BOY saved fourth after being shuffled mildly in his last. Recent improvement can continue with clear sailing. 4 - WORLD CLASS DUKE didn't do anything from outside draws in his first two starts of the year, but gains Tetrick and a far kinder midpack starting spot.
Race 4 - Claiming $12,500
1 - SEELEY MAN is poised to repeat after a dominant display last week. The only horse in the field to drop in class hasn't shown that powerful of closing kick, and those remaining at this level haven't given this 32-time winner that much trouble. 3 - CHEYENNE JEFFREY lifted into second in his last two, both at the level. Capable presser-stalker has finished consistently well since returning to action. 8 - ARTACHE HANOVER won at this level three back, but had the aid of the pocket in doing so. Give him credit for his third-place finish last week after he was embroiled in an extended duel and still had enough to only be beaten for second by two lengths.
Race 5 - Winners Over $25,000 Lifetime
2 - SOUTHWIND OZZI toiled in stakes fields to start his 4-year-old campaign, but showed refreshed ability through the middle half of the Haughton last week. He enjoys a pronounced step down after pacing a :53 3/5 middle half there. 3 - THIS IS THE PLAN exits the same race, where he was hampered by traffic trouble on the far turn. Clearer sailing can help him make better use of solid closing kick. 1 - TURBO HILL is a perfect three-for-three since coming back, showing the ability to pounce from the pocket and shrug off pressure alike. Pole keeps him close with relative ease. 6 - SOMEWHERE IN L A just missed Turbo Hill from the pocket two weeks ago, and 4 - WESTERN JOE beat a level tougher than this one both two and three starts back.
Race 6 - Non-Winners $4,000 Last 5 Starts
1 - VOYAGER drops precipitously from upper-winners fields into this much kinder assignment. While he's only hit the board once in nine tries this year, his raw speed and closing ability tower over today's foes. 6 - JUST PLAIN LOCO rises after a solid bottom-level win two weeks ago. He doesn't lack for staying power provided he can get involved from the outset. 3 - BILBO HANOVER also rises after chasing for minors in four of five at Pocono. The 41-time winner demonstrated good late staying against tougher both three and five back; he can do the same for a share here.
Race 7 - Non-Winners 5 Races or $50,000
4 - PATRIOT NATION parried pressure and sprinted off boldly to beat N3L company last week. Nap opts back on. 7 - SAILBOAT HANOVER also seeks back-to-back wins, having ground his way to a going-away win in Stallion Series company at The Meadows in his last. Capable presser-stalker hasn't taken long to get back into shape at all. 5 - CHASER HANOVER hit the board in two of three last month, with his lone miss coming after using a :26 2/5 third quarter to push the pace. Capable stayer figures comfortably at this level if he can avoid the breeze.
Race 8 - Non-Winners $20,000 Last 5 Starts, 9 Races, or $90,000
6 - SHNITZLEDOSOMETHIN failed to fire off cover in the Haughton consolation, but simply dominated at this level the week before. Every chance to rebound on this return to conditioned company. 1 - PROPER ONE ground his way into a tie for second behind Turbo Hill in winners-over company last out, and prior to that won well at Harrington from two drastically differing journeys. Form and versatility noted; mind value. 7 - BLOOD MONEY kept up well from the pocket behind Bill Haley at this level a fortnight ago following a powerful upper-winners score before that. Strength is apparent; expect him to be prominent from the outset yet again.
Race 9 - F&M Winners Over $25,000 Lifetime Handicap
8 - CAVIART ALLY tired a bit late after exerting early in the Dorothy Haughton two weeks ago. Given that she only just gave way to Shartin N three starts back, I'd reckon this race is a far easier assignment to handle. Still, 6 - SOHO BURNING LOVE A, Shartin N's up-and-coming stablemate, is in this race after strong minor finishes in two stakes outings. Capable presser-stalker is Tetrick's choice after solid uncovered runs in the Barton and Haughton. 4 - WARRAWEE UBEAUT took on the boys twice already this year, but to little avail. Leaving and pressing ability can carry better here, and she kicked home impressively in her Meadows qualifier last week.
Race 10 - Non-Winners $14,000 Last 5 Starts, 7 Races, or $70,000
2 - INCREDIBLE SHARK invades from Hoosier after even finishes yielded minor placings in Open events there. Tetrick opts aboard on this one's return east. 6 - FERDINAND A rallied well out of traffic at big odds in his last two at the level. Strong roughie consideration once again with a similar effort. 4 - BEACH ART chased well in his last two at Harrington, and in fact made a healthy bid off the home turn in his most recent try. This is only a slight step up, and thee switch to three turns can make his staying power count for more.
Race 11 - Non-Winners $7,000 Last 5 Starts
3 - WHATS INTHE ESKY A drops considerably after solid minor efforts in upper-level claimers at Pocono and M1. Raw speed, versatility and staying power are enough for this group. 4 - BRALEY HANOVER was just one-paced from the pocket last out, but moves laterally and draws better on arrival from Pocono. Can keep up with a close starting spot. 2 - SOMEWHERE FANCY pressed and edged clear of second-level types last week in his second start off the shelf. Cosy draw in a stout but not impossible third-level group can get the 45-time winner in the action with ease.
Race 12 - Winners 5-7 Races
6 - LYONS JOHNNYJNR seeks back-to-back scores at the level after wiring similar a fortnight ago on debut for Bongiorno. He's hit the board in four straight now. 4 - THE FIRST STEP lifted late off cover to just miss second by a half length in the same race. Two back, he beat similar from an earned pocket. Signs of improvement noted. 1 - STONE HANOVER rises after brushing and repelling pressure while driven out in a N5L event last week. He brings impressive form and versatility to the table: he's hit the board in four in a row, and he's done so from on and off the pace alike.
Race 13 - Non-Winners $10,000 Last 5 Starts
8 - SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP was shuffled severely in his last, yet still circled four-wide and charged to just miss Lucan Hanover. Any semblance of trip relief on this step down to fourth-level company can lift him. 1 - FULLBACK raced just last week, passing tired foes up the inside after lacking room astern. He's back to his most recent winning level. 5 - VAGUE TRACES passed tired foes after a wide draw left him at the back of a tougher Pocono field last out, but he closed boldly to win at M1 three back. Splits the difference; Tetrick opts aboard.
Race 14 - Non-Winners 3 Races or $30,000
4 - SOMBODYITREAESURE broke in his Adios elimination, but gets a pass given he was chasing after Papi Rob Hanover's 1:47 1/5 mile. His previous PA Sire Stakes showings were amply solid. This group is significantly more manageable. 2 - REVOLT also broke at The Meadows in his last, yet reeled off two straight wins here before. He can brush or sustain a pressing bid alike. 1 - BO KNOWS pushed to a 54-1 maiden win in just his second career start last week. Kirby stays on; the pole can give him a kinder task in his first try against winners.
