Harrah's Hoosier: Thanksgiving Classics featured on holiday program

Bulldog Hanover celebrated the news that he'll be both racing and breeding in 2022 by winning Thursday night's $60,000 Thanksgiving Classic for sophomore colt and gelding pacers at Harrah's Hoosier Park. That was his fourth straight victory at the Indiana oval.
Driven by John De Long, Bulldog Hanover parked into the backstretch to get to the lead, finally clearing Goldie's Legacy (Trace Tetrick) coming to the 54 1/5 half. From there, Bulldog Hanover rolled through three-quarters in 1:23 4/5, then came home in 28 seconds over the sloppy going to tally by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:51 4/5. Goldie's Legacy held off Big Gulp (Sam Widger) for third.
A Shadow Play colt bred by Hanover Shoe Farms Inc., Bulldog Hanover is trained by Jack Darling, who also co-owns him with Bradley Grant. This was his 14th career win, and he has now earned $771,591. He paid $2.40 to win as the 1-5 favorite.
Swingforthefences (Peter Wrenn) bounced back after being defeated in last Thursday's Star Destroyer for 3-year-old male trotters by taking the $54,000 Thanksgiving Classic for his division in 1:55. Swingforthefences moved to command racing to the 57 1/5 half, and after coasting through three-quarters in 1:27, he widened his margin through a 28 second last quarter, scoring by 2 3/4 lengths over Platinum AS (Tetrick). Brookview Bolt (Joey Putnam) grabbed third.
Trained by Melanie Wrenn, Swingforthefences is a Swan For All gelding owned by David McDuffee and L & L Devisser LLC. Swingforthefences, bred by Concord Stud Farm, has compiled a record of 15-7-5 from 31 lifetime appearances, and he pushed his bankroll to $684,290. Dispatched at 1-2, he returned $3.00 to win.
In the $47,000 Thanksgiving Classic for 3-year-old filly trotters, 14-1 shot Dewtiful's Grace (Putnam) had a second-over journey and trotted a final panel of 27 3/5 to get up and defeat 1-9 favorite Pub Crawl (Wrenn) by a head in 1:55. Country Girl Charm (Lewayne Miller) was the third-place finisher.
Dewtiful's Grace, a daughter of Pine Credit bred by Clifford Slusher, is trained by Lewayne Miller for owners Oakwood Farms, Kristin Wagler, and Eleven Star Stables. Dewtiful's Grace made her eighth stop in the winner's circle, has now pocketed $182,665. She paid $31.80 to win.

Kobe's Gigi and Wrenn went down the road to grab the $40,000 Thanksgiving Classic for 3-year-old pacing fillies by 6 3/4 lengths in 1:52 1/5. Kobe's Gigi rolled through panels of 26 1/5, 56, and 1:25 2/5, then paced away from the others, defeating DC Batgirl (Widger) and High Minded (De Long).
The victorious daughter of JK Endofanera is trained by Missy Essig for owners Leander Schwartz and Black And White Stable. Harvey Fry bred Kobe's Gigi, who has six victories, a bankroll of $204,850, and returned $2.40 to win as the 1-5 choice.
