Trainer Brian Brown experienced both the highs and the lows that harness racing can bring in the span of two Indiana Sires Stakes races for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park. First was the good, as JJ Endofanera (John De Long) turned a pocket trip into a 1:51 3/5 victory in the opening $68,000 division. Hedda Hopper (Trace Tetrick), who led through panels of 26 3/5, 56, and 1:23 4/5, wound up second, and Ms Quick Sand (Brandon Bates) was third. JJ Endofanera, a daughter of JK Endofanera-JK You're So Vain (Somebeachsomewhere), is owned by Country Club Acres Inc., Kirk Nichols, Milt Leeman, and VIP Internet Stables LLC. Bred by 3 Brothers Stables, JJ Endofanera was a $35,000 buy at the Standardbred Horse Sale, and she has two wins, a second, and a third from six tries. Now an earner of $52,220, she paid $8.40 to win. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Unfortunately, the bad news for the Brown barn followed, as while it appeared that his Trick Of The Light (Mike Oosting) had won the second $68,500 split in 1:51 4/5 after leading through fractions of 27 1/5, 55 4/5, and 1:23 4/5, the judges deemed that she had interfered with multiple horses going into the first turn and set her back to last. That gave the victory to JK's Rollin Baby (Tetrick) over JK My Girl (Tyler Smith) and Lorraine Smoke (James Yoder). Erv Miller trains JK's Rollin Baby, a JK Endofanera-Rock N Roll Baby (Rocknroll Hanover) filly, for owners Engel Stable Of Il LLC., Hen-Shaut Stable, Lou Willinger, and George Golemes. JK's Rollin Baby, who was bred by Mahlon Lambright, was a $20,000 Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale acquisition. She improved her record to three-for-three, has put away $50,500, and returned $7.00 to win.
