Harrah's Hoosier Park: Yo Beth D corrals third career Indiana Sire Stakes title
:quality(75))
Taking care of business, Yo Beth D, driven by Kyle Wilfong for trainer Ken Rucker, swept all the legs and the $75,000 ISS Aged Mare Trot final at Harrah's Hoosier Park on Saturday (October 10) for her third Indiana Sire Stakes title.
Starting the evening with the non-betting race, Yo Beth D was headed straight for the lead out of the gate, trotting swiftly past Miracle Maven (John De Long) to the quarter in 28 2/5. The order at the turn saw Yo Beth D at the helm with Miracle Maven using the cover in the pocket, Er Kelly (LeWayne Miller) holding in third and Delta Blues (Robert Taylor) bringing up the rear.
The four-horse field remained unchanged to the halfway mark in 57 3/5 and at the final quarter in 1:26 1/5. After leading every step of the way, Yo Beth D separated herself from her fellow trotters, stopping the timer at 1:53 2/5 and prevailing by 1 3/4 lengths. The rest of the field finished how they started, with Miracle Maven scoring second and Er Kelly remaining in third.
