Harrah's Hoosier Park: Two elims set the field for Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Filly Trot

Spoiled Princess and Next Level Stuff got the job done in the two $25,000 Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Filly Trot eliminations on Friday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.

Racing in the first flight, Spoiled Princess and driver Dexter Dunn sat in fifth through opening-half fractions of 26 4/5 and 57 that were put on the board by Sorella (Yannick Gingras) and Hypnotic AM (Brian Sears). Dunn tipped his filly off the cones beyond the half, and she gained steadily on the rim into second at the 1:26 2/5 three-quarters. Through the lane Hypnotic AM dug in gamely on the lead, but Spoiled Princess was able to get a narrow advantage and held it to the wire, winning by a neck in 1:53. Sorella checked in third, with Rock Swan (Trace Tetrick) and May Baby (James Yoder) also moving on to the final from this elimination.

"She felt even better when I moved her off the helmet and came first-over. She's really strong right now and she was good at the finish," remarked Dunn. "She's in good form at the moment."

Nancy Takter trains Spoiled Princess, a daughter of Trixton, for owners Black Horse Racing and Christina Takter. This was her eighth career win, and she has now earned $171,136. She paid $7.40 to win as a 5-2 offering.

In the other elimination Whose Blues (Bob McClure) wound up on the front-end at the 26 4/5 opening quarter when a two-wide Ms Savannah Belle (Joe Bongiorno) broke while moving to challenge. Ab'sattitudexpress (Sears) was in the pocket at that station, but he tipped and took over the lead before half, which went on the board in 58 seconds into the stiff headwind. Ab'sattitudexpress continued to show the way to the 1:26 4/5 three-quarters and into the lane, easily dealing with a tepid first-over bid by Caviart Eva (Dunn), but through the lane Next Level Stuff (Tim Tetrick) rallied up the inside after sitting on the cones in the three-hole, and she out-kicked Ab'sattitudexpress on her way to the win by a neck in 1:53 4/5. Love A Good Story (Andy Miller) closed well from second-over to get third, with Caviart Eva fourth and Crucial (David Miller) fifth.

A daughter of the late Sebastian K, Next Level Stuff is trained by Jim Campbell for owner/breeder Runthetable Stables. Next Level Stuff now has a record of 12-3-0 from 22 tries, and she has pocketed $396,816. She returned $6.00 to win as the 2-1 second choice.
