Harrah's Hoosier Park: Three-year-old fillies clash in Pegasus splits
The featured races on the Breeders Crown undercard on Friday night's at Harrah's Hoosier Park were two $60,000 Pegasus divisions for 3-year-old fillies won by trotter Tactical Mounds and pacer Tell's On A Roll.
Tactical Mounds (Scott Zeron) got away third in her dash, but moved to the outside in the backstretch, advanced to challenge leader Rose Run Yanae (Chris Page) approaching the 56 1/5 half, and cleared her past that marker. Tactical Mounds got a gap on the rest of the field around the final quarter and over to the 1:23 4/5 three-quarters, then held off a rally by Call Me Goo (Tim Tetrick) to the wire to score by half a length in 1:52. Picaboo Lady (Yannick Gingras) checked in third.
Megan Scran trains Tactical Mounds, a daughter of Tactical Landing bred by Spring Haven Farm, for owner Thestable Tactical Mounds. She has a record of 9-3-7 from 26 outings, has put away $295,739 and paid $3.20 to win as the favorite.

In the pacing tilt, Tell's On A Roll (Dexter Dunn) rallied off a second-over trip and prevailed by a length and three-quarters in 1:50 1/5. Queen's Reign (John De Long) tracked her cover and came in third, and Horizontal (Zeron), who did the first-over work past the half, ended up third. Race favorite Rollin Rosie (Trace Tetrick) hit the front past the 26 second opening quarter and kept control through middle-half stations of 54 1/5 and 1:22 3/5, but faded to fourth.
Tell's On A Roll, by Tellitlikeitis, is trained by Tyler George for owners Engel Stable of IL LLC., Lou Willinger and T G Stable LLC. She made her ninth trip to the winner's circle, has pocketed $339,006 and returned $4.80 to win as the second choice.
