Harrah's Hoosier Park: Three Times Bettor rolls in Grade 3 Rockin Nola

Three Times Bettor was a 1:49 1/5 winner in the first edition of the $100,000 Rockin Nola for older pacing mares on Friday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.

Starting from the outside post seven, Three Times Bettor left with Dexter Dunn and pushed on two-wide to take the top spot away from Rodeo Drive Deo (Yannick Gingras) beyond the 26 4/5 quarter. From there, Three Times Bettor kept command while unpressured to a 55 second half and a 1:22 3/5 three-quarters, then closed in 26 3/5 to beat Rodeo Drive Deo by three-quarters of a length. Can'ttouchthese (John De Long) was up for third, followed by Champagne Room (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) and Lyin' Eyes (Joey Putnam).

"She's all class and a dream to sit behind. You see her in the paddock and she's so sweet," said Dunn. "There were a couple of leavers and then the pace sort of really backed off, so I decided to keep going forward with her. I know she can stay and I know she can sprint. Once we got the front we had pretty good fractions down the back there, and she's so fast on the end of it.

"She's a good horse and she knows her job. It doesn't matter what track you take her to, she knows what to do."

A 4-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight, Three Times Bettor is trained by Brett Pelling for owner Thaddeus Wier. Bred by Steve Stewart, Conquest Acres Lp and Michael Robinson, Three Times Bettor has 17 wins, one second and three thirds from 27 career starts, has earned $472,314 and paid $3 to win as the 1-2 favorite.
